During this unique walk you will discover the places and people living on the numerous houseboats and floating houses that form such an essential part of the city.
Your guide will also show you the area of the lastage, once a bustling area of boat builders, now the best area to live on one of the numerous houseboats. You will learn about the locks surrounding the center, the water level, how we maintain dry feet and our centuries struggle against sea and river water, the quality of the water and much more ... did we mention water already?!
